L. P. "Scooter" Timmons was born on December 11, 1930 to the late Kelly P. and Octavia Jones Timmons in Webster Parish, Louisiana.
He faithfully served our country in the United States Army from which he was honorably discharged as a SP3.
He departed this earthly life on August 31, 2007 at the Houston Hospice, Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura Jones; brother, Chester Timmons; and sister, Flora Timmons Luke. Mr. L. P. Timmons leaves to cherish his precious memories, two loving sons, Leon Timmons, Jr. and wife, Marcia of Sunnyvale, CA and Anthony Timmons of Minden, LA; a devoted sister, Ray Collins and husband, James of Houston, TX; three nieces, Geraldine Timmons of Minden, LA, Robin Eldgridge-Collins and Sandra Timmons, both of Houston, TX; one nephews, Donald Timmons and wife, Virginia of Minden, LA; a devoted companion, Archie Alexander of Houston, TX; and a host of other great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 31 in the chapel of Kennon's Mortuary, Inc.
