Mrs. George Eakins
Mrs. Josephine Johnson Eakins, 70, of New London, N. C., died at 3 p. m. Sunday at the Family Memorial Hospital in Albemarle, N. C., after a short illness.
Mrs. Eakins, a native of Newport News, had been a resident of New London for the past 10 years.
Survivors include her husband, George Eakins, of New London; three daughters, Mrs. William Tamarato of West Orange, N. J., Mrs. Robert Harbers of Albemarle, and Mrs. Louis T. Havers of New London; one brother, Louis Johnson of Jacksonville, Fla.
Rosary services will be held Monday night at Stanly Funeral Home in Albemarle. The body will be brought to Newport News Tuesday. Other arrangements are incomplete.

Graveside services for Mrs. Josephine Johnson Eakins, 70, of New London, N. C., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Greenlawn Cemetery. Rites will be conducted by Msgr. William A. Gill, pastor of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
A native of Newport News, Mrs. Eakins died Sunday in Stanly Memorial Hospital at Albemarle after a short illness.
Rosary services were held Monday night at Stanly Funeral Home in Albemarle. Requiem high mass was celebrated Tuesday morning in Albemarle.
The funeral cortege will leave Peninsula Funeral Home at 10:45 this morning.
