Gary Lloyd Pence, age 56, of Houghton Lake, died Mon. Oct. 12, 2020. He was born in Detroit on Dec. 5, 1963 to Elvis and Jewell (Anderson) Pence and was raised in Taylor, MI. Gary loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was often found fishing on the Huron River and Proud Lake Rec. He was proud of his new house in Houghton Lake where he could fish every day. He was especially proud of his son and was a proud Papa to his grandson. He was looking forward to having another grandchild to spoil next month. Gary was the life of the party and loved to make everyone laugh. Gary loved his country and was known to send his thoughts to his representatives, senators, and the President of the United States. Gary will be remembered by all of his family as a loving soul and will be greatly missed. Surviving are his son, grandson Chase and an expected grandchild; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
