James C. Skeen, 86, of 1384 N. Henderson St., #316, died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at Rosewood Care Center in Galesburg.
Born May 18, 1912, in Cleveland, Va., to Davis B. and Anna M. Minnick Skeen, he married Genevieve H. Starr on Oct. 3, 1934, in Billings, Mont. She died Feb. 4, 1993. One brother, three half brothers and two half sisters also preceded him in death.
Surviving is one sister, Margaret Lindberg of Janesville, Wis.
He was an iron worker and superintendent for Johnson Building Systems for 42 years, retiring in 1978.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
