William Logan Brown, 79, of Summerville, SC, a safety supervisor for Reeder Industrial Contractors, Inc., died Wednesday afternoon in a Mt. Pleasant hospital.

His funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time, according to DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER.

Mr. Brown was born July 2, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant, SC, a son of William Charlie Brown and Annie Lunar Gaskins Brown. He was a US Army veteran and enjoyed watching westerns, Carolina Gamecocks football, and baseball. He was a former little league coach and loved his dogs. He was predeceased by a sister, Barbara A. Brown and five brothers; and was the widower of Margaret Geddes Brown.

Surviving are his wife, Sonia Ultrera Garcia of Summerville; two daughters, Kimberly “Renee” Goff and her husband Robert of Summerville, and Robin Taylor and her husband Kyle of Bradenton, FL.; three step daughters, Denise Graff and Sonia Suarez-Ultrera both of Summerville, and Allison Fisher-Matthews of Ridgeville; a son, Atty. W. Tracy Brown and his wife Rosemary of Charleston; two step sons, Keiron Geddes and his wife Robin of London, England, and Daniel Smalls of Summerville; six sisters, Mary Thomas and her husband Charlie, and Rena V. Huthmacher and her husband Henry R. all of Bonneau, Florence L. Martin and her husband Bill of Wimauma, FL., Gloria Weatherford of St. Stephen, Virginia M. Litchfield and her husband Raymond and Billie J. Gaskins and her husband Ed all of Macedonia; a brother, James R. Brown and his wife Nell of Andrews; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
