Elizabeth A. Sweeney (Fee) 65 of Whitman passed away peacefully on September 13 at home surrounded by family.

Born in Somerville Massachusetts in 1955, daughter of Peter and Ethel Fee. She was a graduate of Somerville High School class of 1973. Elizabeth (Liz) was a hard worker who obtained her first job at 15 years old at the LaRonga Bakery in Somerville. Three years later, she took a position at the Federal Reserve bank in Boston. She would later, move on to work for the United States Postal Service where she would work the rest of her career as a window clerk throughout the South Shore until retirement.

She met her husband John in 1973 when she was 18 years old and they have been inseparable ever since. They were happily married for 39 years and had three sons, Daniel Sweeney of East Bridgewater, Matthew Sweeney of Whitman, and Patrick Sweeney of East Bridgewater. She was the proud grandmother of Riley and Jackson Sweeney. She is also survived by sisters Linda Landry, Francis O’Brien, and brothers James and Michael Fee, her late sister and brother Kathy and Peter Fee, and many nieces and nephews.

A private Mass will be held at the Holy Ghost Church.
