Bob Hobson passed away peacefully on Saturday September 28, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Bob was born in French Lick, Indiana on October 7, 1939. After graduating from Paoli (Indiana) High School, he married Sharon Ann Melvin in 1958 at the age of 18. Bob and Sharon were married over 61 years and had four children, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Bob was truly a simple man who worked hard and dreamed even harder. He was a people person with a great sense of humor and had a tremendous gift to make people laugh. Bob spent his working career in the food industry; many years in the restaurant business followed by over 35 years in the food distribution business. His last 25 years of service came with Sysco Corporation leading their chain account business. Upon retiring from Sysco in 2004, he and Sharon moved to Flower Mound, Texas.

Bob and Sharon were incredible parents and grandparents. No child or grandchild ever went without love, support and encouragement from them both as they always took great pride in their family. He and Sharon raised four children and provided them with love and memories that they will never forget.

Bob is survived by his wife Sharon Ann Hobson; children Ginger Ann Emmerling (husband Mike) of Noblesville, Indiana; Robert Lee Hobson II (wife Debbie) of Flower Mound, Texas; and Jeffrey Bryan Hobson (fiance' Angie) of Lewisville, Texas; grandchildren Cindy Banks, Harrisburg, NC; Danny Kershner, Columbus, IN; Whitney Daniel, Wylie, TX; Robert L. Hobson III, Dallas, TX; and Bridget Radke Lake, Dallas, TX

Bob was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Howard Hobson.

Services will be held at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, located at 740 South Edmonds, Lewisville, TX, 75077 at noon on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
