A funeral service is scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Bro. Donny Sadler will officiate. Mrs. Tennison will be laid to rest at McDonald Cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Monday, October 19, 2020, and friends are cordially invited to visit with Missy’s family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tennison was a member of Woodland Heights Church in Jacksonville.
She was also a member of New Summerfield ISD School Board for many, many years and a substitute teacher for a time.
She always attended her children’s school sporting events.
Missy had a gift for writing poetry, having had many of her poems published.
She also enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Tennison was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Ables and brothers, Keith and Eric Ables.
Left to cherish Missy’s memory are her husband of 37 years, Randy Tennison of New Summerfield; daughters, Stephanie Elledge (Jason Sharp) of Jacksonville, Rebecca Tennison of New Summerfield, and Kimberly Tennison of Tyler; brother, David Ables (Angela) and sister-in-law, Mona Ables, all of Whitney, TX; brothers-in-law Marty Tennison (Reva) of New Summerfield and Terry Tennison (Carolyn) of Tyler. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Payton, Annellyn, Christian, Raeleigh, Kason, Riley, Alyssa; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Manny Suarez, Rocky Jennings, Darryl Norris, Jason Davis, Michael Loughmiller and Steven Sloan.
