Survived by his wife of 47 years, Nevolin "Bootsie" Abadie; son, Russell Abadie Sr. and wife Jayne; two sisters, June Munster and Jean Carmack; special sister, Dot Strader; two brothers, Albert Abadie and wife Ruth, and Bill Abadie; two sisters-in-law, Carole Abadie and Betty Abadie; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his son, Steven Abadie; parents; and two brothers.
He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral.
