Funeral of Oliver Ground:
The funeral of Olive B. Ground took place this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Mark Dickson, on Garden street in Upper Alton. Rev. G. W. Waggoner, assisted by Rev, Mr. Cole, of the Upper Alton Methodist church, conducted the services, Tho pall bearers were C. W. Leverett, George Dickson, Aug. Head, David Tomlitson, HOII, Louis Frhlur, Phillip Hobner and Capt. W. R. Wright. Burial was at Oakwood cemetery.

MADISON MILLS.
The Madison Mills, in Bozzatown, are owned by Oliver B. Ground. The mills have three run of burrs, two used for wheat, and one for corn, and can manufacture fifty or sixty barrels of meal. Half-a-dozen men are employed. The best grades of flour find a market in Alton. On Tuesdays and Saturdays custom work is done, and the rest of the week is devoted to merchant milling.

THE HISTORY OF BOZZATOWN
Bozzatown originated as a suburb of Alton, and was located at the east end of the city. It was named after James Bozza, a store owner who moved to the area from Hannibal, Missouri ... Later, Bozzatown was nicknamed "Boozytown," from the great amount of "booze" in the vicinity.
