Jane Stanfield, 81, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at AHC Healthcare in Selmer.Janie Stanfield, 81, of Selmer, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at AHC Healthcare in Selmer.

She was born in Madison county, near Mercer, TN, the daughter of the late Benton Franklin "Bee" and Annie Vera Lewis Yarbrough and had lived in the Selmer area for many years. She was educated in the public school system and had retired from Western Mental Health Institute in Bolivar. She also sat with the elderly, enjoyed making cabbage patch dolls, growing a big garden and canning and freezing the vegetables. She attended Center Ridge Pentecostal Church of God in Bethel Springs and was devoted to family and Christian values. She loved gospel music.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Mayfield of Eagle, WI and James Mayfield of Florida; five grandchildren, Jason Mayfield, Heather Lard, Jeremy Mayfield, Amber Reed, and Dwain Mayfield; one sister, Fannie Baldwin of Memphis; and special friend, Willard Doles of Selmer.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Angeline Ann Yarbrough Cox, Shirley Yarbrough Lowrance and Vera Sue Yarbrough; two brothers, Billy Bob and Robert Felix Yarbrough; a half-brother, J. W. Yarbrough and a stepson, Ray Mayfield
