Earlville - Leighton E. Strouss, 91, of Earlville died Monday at Sandwich Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Torman Funeral Home with the Rev. Simon Simon of the Earlville Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Precinct Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Strouss was born Aug. 16, 1882, in Fisher to John and Mary Campbell Strouss. He was married to Mayme Mead, who preceded him in death in 1968 after 65 years of marriage. He was a carpenter and installed lightning rods in a wide area.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Beatrice) Keyes of Earlville, Mrs. Forrest (Mary) Vance of Earlville, Mrs. Harriet Larson of De Kalb and Mrs. Florian (June) Swaz of Plainfield.
He was preceded in death by his wife and one son.
