Roland G Aungst, 71, of State College, died at home on Wednesday Aug. 22, 1956.

Born Feb. 10, 1885 at Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, he was the son of Rueben and Susanna Stahl Aungst. On April 20, 1910, he married Faith Thompson.

Mr. Aungst was in his first year of his elected term as tax assessor of State College. Formerly he worked at the Ordinance Research Laboratory at Penn State University. He was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church; State College Lodge No.700 F. & A.M.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters: Mrs. Frank A Reed, Mrs. John R Richards, and Mrs. Wayne R Campbell; one sister: Adele Thompson; and seven grandchildren. Surviving brothers and sisters: Mrs. Frank Hubler, Mrs. Daniel Hummel, Dr. R H H Aungst, Miss Mabel R Aungst, Rev. Frank Aungst, and Mrs. Minnie Luckenbill.
