Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at First Presbyterian Church in Orange, with the Rev. Sam Knight officiating. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Shirley was born on Nov. 27, 1936, in Ponder, Texas, to Ross and Allie (Eastwood) Moon. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Orange, where she was a deacon, head of the church's Lighthouse Soup Kitchen, organized blood drives for the church and was awarded Honorary Life Membership in the Presbyterian Women Organization in 2003. She also was a longtime volunteer for Orange Christian Services and Little Cypress Elementary School.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roy J. Woods; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Ralph Caillier of Orange; daughter, Denise Woods of Houston; grandchildren, Jason Budd, Rachel Clark, Ashley Caillier and Zane Caillier; great-grandchild, Christian Clark; sisters, Melvena Pennington of Palo Pinto, Texas, Lois Gann of Irving, Jo Ann Stanley of Garland and Jean Williams of Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church in Orange for the Lighthouse Soup Kitchen.
