Darlene Ann Pattyn-Cox, age 69, a resident of the Chicagoland area since 1960, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL. Darlene was born September 27, 1939 in Mt Clemens, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Boettcher) Bannow. She was a 1957 graduate of Utica High School and upon moving to the Chicago area, was a faithful employee of Aurelio’s Pizza from 1968 thru the first part of this year . Her hobbies included knitting, sewing, and being with her beloved family.
Darlene is survived by her husband Dale Minner Cox, son Dale (Katrina) Pattyn of Albuquerque, NM., two grandchildren, Christian & Zoe Pattyn. Siblings include Sherry (Donald) Mandley of Attica, MI., Trudy Dodson of Romeo, MI., and Reed (Nancy) Bannow of Arlington, TX. Also survived by ten nieces & nephews along with 20 grandnieces and grandnephews.
Memorial services will take place on Saturday, July 11 at 1 PM at St Paul’s Episcopal Church of Romeo with Rev. Stacy Salles officiating. The family will greet friends & family from 12:30 till 1 PM on Saturday at the church.
