Kenneth L. Bryant, 88 of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday August 22, 2006 at his son's residence in Afton. Ken was born June 2, 1918 in Centerville, the son of John and Ollie Rucker Bryant. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1939.
Ken was united in marriage with Edna LaRue Ward on August 30, 1941 in Lancaster, Mo. Edna preceded Ken in death on April 10,1998.
Ken served in the United States Air Corps during World War II. He worked for a short time at the Rock Island Arsenal in the quad cities before moving to Centerville and working for Meadow gold for 25 years.
Ken attended the First Baptist Church in Centerville with his good friend Nellie Stickler.
Ken is survived by his two children, one brother, of Tucson; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday in Centerville. Interment will be in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Appanoose County Veterans.
