Robert Samuel Harker, 76, of Hidalgo, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 1973, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. Funeral services were held at the Bishop Funeral Home at Greenup and burial was in Aten Cemetery near Hidalgo. Rev. Kenneth Miller officiated at the service.

Mr. Harker was born August 24, 1896, in Jasper County, a son of Samuel J. and Elizabeth (Graham) Harker. He married Clella McComas on November 6, 1937. Mr. and Mrs. Harker lived all their married life near Hidalgo, where they were engaged in farming.

He was a member of the Rose Hill Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Janice Marie Netscher of St. Louis, Missouri, a brother, Ken Harker of Hidalgo, sisters Grace Cramer of Hidalgo and Mabel Larson of San Mateo, California, and a grandson, Daniel Robert Netscher.
