When he came home he began a 27 year career at Sohio Oil Company in Cleveland. He then worked as a consultant for various companies, including Davis Bessie Nuclear Power Plant. After his second retirement, he decided he needed something to get him out and to the gym in the morning, so began driving a school bus part-time for special-needs children. He finally retired for the third and last time at the age of 79.
He loved his family. He would miss his great-grandchildren if he didn't see them for several days.
He also loved the outdoors, hunting, boating, and watching the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavs. He closely followed Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, Bowling Green, or wherever his children were either attending or teaching, and of course, his wife's Oklahoma Sooners.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marcia; three children, Mark, John, and Mary; grandson, Nick; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Ava; and a brother and sister, Walter and Rose in California.
We believe Rudy is now at home with the Lord.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Church of North Olmsted, 4816 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, at 2 PM on Thursday, October 29. Calling hours will be at 1 PM at the church.
