LAST RITES FOR JESS S. IVY CONDUCTED THURSDAY MORNING
Funeral services for Jess S. Ivy of Route 1, Goldthwaite, will be held this morning at 10:00 o'clock in the Wilkins Funeral Chapel. Services will be conducted by Elder Jasper Chambers of Lampasas, assisted by Curtis Ripley of Goldthwaite. Burial will be in the North Brown Cemetery under the direction of the Roy Wilkins Funeral.
Mr. Ivy was born in Williamson County, Texas, April 1, 1890 and passed away at his home Tuesday morning, March 10, 1964. He came to Mills County in 1902. He was a stock farmer.
On December 31, 1908 he was married to Miss Clemmie Caraway in Mills County.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. J. S. Ivy of Goldthwaite; one daughter, Mrs. Jewell Coffey of Lampasas; five sons, R.G. Ivy of Fort Worth, W.M. Ivy of Priddy, J.T. Ivy of Seattle, Washington, David Ivy of Priddy and Charlie Ivy of Raymondville; two sisters, Mrs. J. B. (Tavia) Jones of Rotan and Mrs. Henry Vincent of Moody; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be RV Geeslin, J. Dee Vinsent, Jerry Ivy, Louis Ivy, Raymond Ivy and Orvil Evans.
