Anna Byrnes-Ryan was born July 1833 in Murroe, Limerick, Ireland. She and her soon to be husband, Patrick Ryan, boarded the "Mary Ann Henry" in Limerick, Ireland and arrived in New York July 9th, 1849.
From there they married and relocated to Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois where it is assumed that Patrick was employed working on the railroad expansion. Their daughter Hannah "Annie" L. Ryan was born in Illinois in 1856. The family relocated to Ramsey County, Reserve Township (St. Paul), Minnesota. In November 1858, their son John "Jack" Ryan was born. Patrick purchased land, built a home and became a farmer. In July 1860, their son Daniel Joseph Ryan was born. April 1862, Bridget Agnes Ryan was born and in May 1864, Patrick James "P.J." Ryan was born. The 1900 census shows that there was one more child born at some point, but I have not yet been able to trace down a record for that birth.
Patrick Ryan died September 7th, 1879 due to inflammation of the liver. Anna Byrnes-Ryan died March 16th, 1908 due to valvular disease of the heart.
