Steven Earl Parsley Sr, 56, of Jamestown, died Nov 10, 2003, at High Point Regional Hosp, after a 9-mo valiant struggle w cancer. Mem'l service Sechrest Chapel on E Lexington Ave, High Point, by Rev Doug Dennis. Native of High Point, bn Dec 1, 1946, s/o Rev D R Parsley & Ann Southern Welborn. After serving in the US Air Force, he resided in the High Point area since 1971. He was a dedicated analytical chemist & employed at Burlington Chemical Inc. As a loving husb, father, grandfather & friend, he enjoyed gardening, photography & carpentry. Aug 23, 1973, he married Brenda Kindley, who survives. Surviving, wife, son Steven Earl Parsley Jr & wife Kirsten of Mt Pleasant, SC; (step) daus, Kim Mathai & husb Michael of High Point & Dr Sue Sloop of Atlanta; father, Rev D R Parsley & wife Evelyn of Cotton Plant, AR; siss, (1/2) Janie Cheryl Hilton of Archdale, Doris Parsley Cagle of Little Rock, AR, Rosemary Parsley Baker of Ft Smith, AR, bro Donald W Parsley of Knoxville, TN; grands, Alexander & Olivia Mathai & future baby Parsley due in March.
