David Reiswig, 632 Holly Drive, died Wed. afternoon in a local hospital after a short illness. He was 99.
Reiswig was born in Russia but came to S Dakota at the age of three months. He married Elizabeth Tebelius in 1895 and moved to N Dakota where he farmed until 1935.
The couple moved to Lodi in 1935 and he worked at various jobs until his retirement in 1941.
Mrs. Reiswig died in 1954.
He is survived by three sons, Jake D Reiswig, Wilbert Reiswig, both of Lodi, and Edward Reiswig of Modesto; five daughters, Mrs. Martha Leer, Mrs. Emma Patzer, Mrs. Eldena Miller and Mrs. Elsie Schwartz, all of Lodi, and Mrs. Ethel Cencirulo; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2pm Monday at the Lodi Funeral Home chapel, Elders William Hull and Carl Becker of the Fairmont Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Cherokee Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7pm Friday.
