WINCHESTER, Ind.--Ann Nance died Saturday at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Nance, who was born in Fries, Va., was the founder of Courtesy Coffee Shop, which she operated 40 years. She was a member of Main Street Christian Church, the Business and Professional Women's Association and Winchester Order of the Eastern Star. She was a past member of the Indiana Restaurant Association, and she was a life member of Elks Lodge 1534, Union City.
Survivors include a son, J. Robert Nance (wife: Mary Alice), Winchester; a daughter, Evelyn Hoilman (husband: Tom), Greenville, Ohio; two brothers, Harold Lawson, Winchester, and Warren Lawson, Muncie; four sisters, Edna Rails, SanLeandro, Calif., Clara BeBout, Muncie, Beatrice Stilwell, Las Vegas, Nev., and Hazel Jones, Winchester; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, James E. Nance, and four brothers, Harry, Gene, Fred and John Paul Lawson, are deceased.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Thayer Funeral Home, with Dr. Kenneth Rickett officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Park Cemetery. Calling will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where Order of the Eastern Star services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.
