David Robert Fritts, 65, of rural Ancona, died at 9:50 a.m. Monday, September 9, 2002 at his home.
Pallbearers will be: Calvin Knutson, Marvin McCormick, Larry Burash, Vincent, Vince and Bryan Venturi, Brian Norris and Mike Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren: David, Nathan, Tara and Drew Martin Fritts, and Cody, Carly and Emily Knutson.
He was born December 1, 1936 in Fairfield, a son of Walter Ross and Ellen M. (Robertson) Fritts. He married Sandra Mehn on May 5, 1956. She survives.
Also surviving are sons: Daniel R. (Rosanne) Fritts of Streator and David M. (Robin) Fritts of Hudson; daughters: Debra (Calvin) Knutson of Streator and Deanna Elam of Huntington Beach, California; seven grandchildren; and sisters: Edith (John) Burash and Karla (Vince) Venturi, both of Streator, Rena Belle (Thomas) McCormick of Fairfield, Josephine Thiessen of Gridley, and Goldie (Edwin) Chalfant of Santa Barbara, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather: James Fritts; and a brother: Dean Fritts.
He attended Reading grade school and Long Point high school.
He retired from Owens Brockway in 1999 at 43 years employment.
A member of St. Anthony Church, he was a charter member of the Streator Racing Pigeon Club, United Coon Hunters Association, Lazy Acres Sportsmen's Club, and We The People.
