Neva Elmore
HAMILTON- Neva Elmore, 86, of Hamilton, died of natural causes Friday, Dec. 18, at Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Emporia, Kan., to Brice and Orell Thompson. She moved with her family to the Bitterroot Valley, where she attended Hamilton schools. After graduating from the University of Montana, she did graduate work in California. Neva also taught at Hamilton High School for several years.
In 1930 she married Hugh Elmore. The couple lived in Missoula, Ronan and Hamilton. After retiring, the couple spent their winters in the South.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1990.
Survivors include a sister, Maxine Webber, Missoula, and several nephews and nieces.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dowling Funeral Home. At Mrs. Elmore's request, no services will be held.
The family suggests memorials to the Bitterroot Public Library in Hamilton.
