Billy Earl Alsup, 86, of Tupelo, Texas, passed peacefully away on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Billy was born on March 16, 1934, in Pampa, Texas, to the late Earl W. and Ethel (Nelson) Alsup. His family traveled often, but he considered Dallas his childhood home.

Billy met Linda Curry at Seagoville Baptist Church and it was love at first sight! Billy and Linda were married on January 6, 1961, and they have lived, loved, and laughed together for 59 years, and raised three children in Tupelo, Texas.

Billy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and loved being surrounded by them always. He loved to laugh, pick, play, and have fun. He always looked for a way to make everyone laugh. The family was everything to him.

He cherished the time he spent watching wrestling with his children and grandchildren, attending school sporting events, and watching the kids play. He loved Black Friday shopping with his granddaughter and taking the grandsons for hot wings. He cherished the neighborhood kids, they were family.

He retired from Chatanooga Glass Company in 1988. He worked part-time at Big Lots in Corsicana and then ran resale shops in Ennis and Corsicana. Billy loved to work and meet people.

He was preceded in death by a daughter in law, Ann Alsup.
