Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Hunter, 72, pioneer of Coleman county who died of a heart attack Friday morning was held at Santa Anna Monday.
Mrs Hunter came to Abilene to live four years ago. She had been ill for three weeks, but awakened early today apparantly much improved. A few minutes later her daughter, Mrs. J.W. Babb of Miami, found her in bed dead. He family home is at 1159 Portland Ave.
Mrs. Hunter was born in Weimer, Texas, and moved to Coleman county 40 years ago. In Santa Anna her husband, who died in 1912, establed and for many years operated a wholesale grocery business. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Methodist church of Santa Anna.
The sons are A.M., C.H., and H.F. Hunter. A brother, W. L. Herndon of Pampa, and several grand childrenn survice. Laughter Funeral Home handled arrangements.
