Dorothy was saved in 1974 and was a member of Maranatha Chapel, in Rossford, Ohio, where she was a pillar of the church. She believed Jesus and her faith kept her all these years. Dorothy worked for Conagra Foods until they closed down and retired at the age of 62.
She loved working jigsaw puzzles and reading. She did cake decoration and learned to make candy. She also enjoyed Chinese food (almond boneless chicken) and loved homemade fudge and moon pies. Dorothy loved her family very much. She will be remembered for her big heart, never leaving her house hungry, her love for making others feel welcomed and her willingness to help anyone in need.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Yolanda (Ray) Fonseca, Donna (Jan) Teague, and Sandra (Jeff) Solomon; stepchildren Joyce Upham, Herbert (Loretta) Moore, and Ronald Moore; grandchildren Terry (Becka) Sifers, Meisha (Jason) McClain, Coty (Stephanie) Wright, Micah Solomon, Macayla Solomon, Jeanne Moore, Tracy (Scott) Moore, Jessica Moore, and Jr. Gray; great-grandchildren Rory McClain, Jason McClain, Emily Wright, Michael Moore, Joshua Moore, and Samantha Moore; siblings Wanda (Dean) Hurley, Ira Cantrell, Lois (Ricky) Hybban, and Jeffrey (Kathy) Caudill; sisters-in-law Claudia Caudill, Gwen Caudill, and Leona Caudill; brother-in-law Carrol Rowe; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Herbert Moore; parents Cecil and Alice; brothers Edward, Curtis, Ivol, Cecil Ray, Orville, Jimmy, and Loren Caudill; sister Emma Rowe; grandson Herbert Keith; son-in-law Raymond Upham; stepson William Moore; and brother-in-law Martin Caudill.
Friends will be received, Friday, November 6, 2020 from 4-8 PM at Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery, Perrysbu
