Lucy Robinson was born in Franklin Grove, Lee County, Illinois. She moved with her parents, Mary Spiller and George Robinson, to Wright County in 1901. She married Charles Utz. They were the parents of Elsie, Bessie, Wilber, George and Hazel Utz.

OBITUARY - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Feldkirchner, 87, of New Hampton, Iowa, and formerly of Dixon, Illinois, and one time resident of Rowan were held Feb. 18, 1963, at Larkins Chapel, New Hampton, la. Rev. Tom Fukuyama, pastor of the First Congregational Church, New Hampton, officiated and Rev. Jones of the Methodist Church at Belmond officiated at the interment in Rowan Graceland
cemetery. Rowan, la.

Mrs. Feldkirchner is the mother of Wilbur Utz, New Hampton, and Eugene Langdon of Ostrander, Minnesota, both former residents of this area. Lucy Viola Robinson was born June 1, 1875 at Franklin Grove, Illinois. On January 1, 1895 she was married to Charley Utz and to this union six children were born, 3 in Illinois, 3 in Iowa.

One son, Elmer died in infancy, her husband died in 1916 and a daughter, Bessie Drury of Highmore, South Dakota in 1919.

The surviving children are Elsie McCallum of Ranch Mirage, California, Wilbur of New Hampton, George of Bemidji, Minnesota, Hazel Sword of Ashton, Illinois. She married James Langdon at Rowan in 1917 and a son, Albert Eugene was born who now lives at Ostrander, Minnesota. She returned to Illinois in 1926 and later married Fred Feldkirchner in 1927. He passed away in 1951.

She has three step daughters, Florence Feldkirchner of Chemawa, Oregon, Irene Feldkirchner of Dunellyn, New Jersey, and Mildred McCartney of Dunellyn, New Jersey. She has ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. One grandson, Glenn Sword, died in 1946.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death. She came to Charles City from Dixon, Illinois to a Nursing Home there in 1959 and to New Hampton to Mrs. Bearman's home in 1960. She entered St. Joseph's hospital, New Hampton, Feb. 7, 1963 where she passed away Feb. 16, 1963 of complications of old age at the advanced age of 87 years, 9 months, and 12 days.
