She was born Aug. 1, 1913, in Gridley, to Alfred Elroy and Nellie Maude Schlink Darland.
A lifetime resident of Scott City until moving to Wichita in 2000, Mrs. Strickert was a school teacher and a cook. She was a member of First Christian Church and Rebekah Lodge, both at Scott City.
On Dec. 21, 1938, she married Clarence J. Strickert. He died Sept. 22, 1977. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Marilyn K. Strickert.
Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Patton of Wichita, and Joanne Kerschner of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral was to be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with the Rev. Jeff Knighton officiating. Burial was in Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.
