Priscilla Alice (Ray) Harter was the daughter of William Berry and Alice Amelia (Norris) Ray. She was the 2nd wife of Rev. Elmer Ellsworth Harter, Sr. They were married Altoona, Pennsylvania April 9, 1903. Rev. Harter was a minister in the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He died December 23, 1936. Priscilla died of coronary thrombosis/arterio sclerotic and hypertensive heart disease. Her death certificate was signed by Dr. E. A. Brethauer, Jr.

HARTER - RAY
Rev. E. E. Harter, pastor of the Juniata Methodist Episcopal Church, and Miss Priscilla Ray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Ray, of Juniata, were married last night at the bride's home by Rev. J. Ellis Boll, Presiding Elder of the Altoona District. Rev. Harter is one of the younger ministers of the Central Pennsylvania Conference. He has been pastor of the Juniata Church for several years and was on Tuesday returned by the Conference to the church for another year. He is a minister of more than ordinary ability and is very popular with the congregation, which recently issued a unanimous invitation for him for another year. The bride is well-fitted for the new position she has taken. She has been an active worker and a teacher in the Sunday School, and has the best wishes of her many friends for a long and happy life.

HARTER.-Funeral services for Mrs. Priscilla Ray Harter, former head of the Childrens Home of Pittsburgh, will be held at 8 o'clock tonight at H. Samson's Funeral Home 537 Neville Street. She died Saturday at her home, Arlington Apts., Pittsburgh after an illness of several years. She was born Pennsylvania Furnace about 64 years ago. She was a daughter of Berry and Alice Norris Ray. She was the widow of Rev. Elmer E. Harter, Superintendent of the Children's Home, 467 South Aiken Avenue, for more than ten years until his death in 1936. Mrs. Harter took over his work and managed the Children's Home and the Bradley Home in Oakmont until her retirement two years ago due to ill health. Surviving are son, Elmer E. Harter of Harrisburg; daughter Alice P. Harter of Pittsburgh; one grandchild; stepson Col. Gilbert S. Harter of San Leandro, Calif.; stepson Oramel N. Harter of Alberta, Canada; and stepson J. W. Fisher Harter of Salamanca, New York; a stepdaughter MRS. HARRY A. MILLER, OF JOHNSONBURG, PA.; sister Mrs. Mary Johnston Russell of Altoona; sister Mrs. Ruth (Harvey) Myers of Juniata; Mrs. Margaret (Lester) Ewing of Cleveland, Ohio; brother Russell Ray of Altoona. Interment will be tomorrow Everett Cemetery, Everett, Pa.
