Krenke that Wilhelm's mother, Dorathea Krenke Degner, was one of the four Krenkes that came to Wisconsin in September of 1856. Her brother was Wilhelm Krenke and owned property across the road from this farm. Where Dorathea and her husband, Joachim Degner, lived or when they moved to Hebron, Nebraska, we do not know."
