Edith G. Mock Rowe, 78, 100 W. Walnut St., Albany, died Monday in Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dunkirk and attended Dunkirk schools.
Mrs. Rowe was employed 10 years in the packing department of Indiana Glass, Dunkirk. She belonged to Indiana Workers Union Local 501 and First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Rowe; a son, Danny Mock, Muncie; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Glenda) Chilton, Canyon Lake, Texas; three stepchildren; a brother, Eugene White, Hartford City; six sisters, Manie Elliott and Sadie Bishop, both of Hartford City, Mrs. Ariel (Maxine) Propes and Mrs. Frances (Katheleen) Johnson, both of Dunkirk, Mrs. Eugene (Evelyn) Austin, Albany, and Thelma Riesen, Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Henry Mock, died in 1974.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Donald W. Jones Memorial Chapel, Dunkirk. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie. Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary.
