FLOMATON – Mr. Bobby Allen Thompson Sr., 50, of Flomaton passed away Saturday, Sept. 9 at a Pensacola hospital.
Mr. Thompson was a native of Flomaton and a resident of Flomaton for the past 20 years. He was an employee for the Escambia County Road Department for 29 years, a loving husband and father. He liked to work on mechanics and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Thompson's father, Bert Thompson, preceded him in death.
Survivors include, his wife, Sue Thompson of Flomaton; his son, Bobby Allen "B.J." Thompson Jr. of Flomaton; his daughter, Jessica Lynn "Jessie" Thompson of Flomaton; his mother, Christine Thompson of Flomaton; a brother, Charles Thompson of Flomaton; two sisters, Gracie Pridgen of Flomaton and Pam Bethea of Kalapps, N.C.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Barbara Gresham of Flomaton and a brother-in-law, Dewayne Gresham of Flomaton.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene and the Rev. Gladdin Mothershed officiating. Burial followed at Sardis Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Andy Moye, Randal Robbins, Greg Odom, Jeremy Pridgen, Bubba Pridgen, Will Chavers, Dewayne Gresham and Eddie Conway.
Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 11, 2006 at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
