Elmore Clark, age 85 of Alva, FL died September 21 at the East Pointe Hospital in Lehigh Acres, FL. He was born in Tennessee and was a former member of the Legislative body. Elmore was a teacher and principal in the Robertson County schools until 1961 when he retired here and moved to Ft. Myers. He taught in Lee County schools for 14 years before his retirement there. Surviving are his wife, Louise; his son, Fred Clark of Hendersonville, TN; his daughter Billie C. Gero of Ft. Myers; two grandsons, Karl of Madison, WI and David of Evansville, IN; two granddaughters, Penny Durrance of Ft. Myers and Jenny Gero stationed with the U.S. Army at Ft. Gordon, GA; one great-granddaughter, Aubree Durrance also survives. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Milldale Funeral Home in Milldale, TN. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Bill Horner officiating. Burial in Springhill Cemetery in Nashville will follow.
