Born Nov. 23, 1937, in Hartshorne, to John and Rosamond Key Lowe, he grew up in the Hartshorne area and graduated in 1957 from Hartshorne High School. Shortly after that, he joined the United States Navy and was stationed on a ship abroad for a while. After that, he worked for Oklahoma Aertronics as a production worker for 25 years before they closed down. He retired and became a caregiver for his mother until her death. He passed away at McAlester Regional Health Center. Survivors include three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jessie and Lora Gragg, of Hartshorne, Essie Echelle and Garry Cartlidge, of McAlester, Priscilla Wells, of Bellevue, Neb.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Adam Lowe, of Hartshorne, Reginald and Pearl Lowe, of Littleton, Colo.; special friend, Judy Houk, of Krebs; special granddaughter, Tanya Hammond, of Krebs, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Lowe and Aaron Lowe. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mountain Station Cemetery Pavilion with Kenneth Sherrill officiating. Burial will be at Mountain Station Cemetery, Mountain Station Community, under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service.John "Frank" Lowe, 69, of Hartshorne, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at McAlester Regional Health Center.
