Lawrence Grilliot age 89 of Dayton passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007. Mr. Grilliot was born in Dayton May 17, 1918 and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School & Miami Jacobs Business College, 1st Lt. & flight instructor B-17 Army Air Corps. WWll, President Emeritus Morning Pride Manufacturing (1945-1981), President & Charter Member Miami Valley Rangers, past chairman, Box 21 Rodeo, past officer & member of Palomino Exhibiters Association of Ohio, Central States Horse Show Association, Triangle R. Riders, life member of Ohio Quarter Horse Association, member of Ohio Western Horse Show Association, past credentialed Judge of A.Q.H.A., P.H.B.A., A.H.S.A. & P.O.A., Asst. Troop Leader #119, Boy Scouts of America, Scout Master, National Jamboree 1964, charter member, Assumption Catholic Church, past member, Precious Blood & St. Paul's Catholic Churches & current member of Transfiguration Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary in 1996 and a son, Arthur in 1947. Survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn M. and Paul G. McLaughlin, Beverly J. and Paul E. Armstrong; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Mary I. Grilliot; grandchildren, Paul Richard (Stefanie) McLaughlin, Terri A. (Anthony) Wyman, Moira L. (Patrick) Murty and William L. Grilliot, Jr.; great granchridren, Devin S. Wyman, Hunter K. Wyman, Nicolas P.McLaughlin, Madison S. Wyman, Alexander E. McLaughlin, Kirsten L. McLaughlin, Peyton F. Wyman & Emery O. Wyman, and special friend Betty Norton and a host of family & friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Transfiguration Church, 972 South Miami Street, West Milton. Fr. John MacQuarrie officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Tuesday at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel" 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road with further visitation from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Church.
