Services for Luella Casey Smoot, 79, of Ada are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Latta School Baseball Field, Rev. David Fensler will officiate. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.

Mrs. Smoot passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 5, 1941 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Raymond Boyd and Dorothy Marie Casey. She attended Mowdy Grade School and graduated from Coalgate High School.

She married Billy Jo (Bill) Smoot August 12, 1960 in Oklahoma City. After Mr. Smoot's service in the US Army, Luella and Bill settled in Ada, Oklahoma. Mrs. Smoot served lunch to thousands of students during her 22 years working in the Latta Public School cafeteria.

Mrs. Smoot was a longtime member of Morris Memorial Baptist Church in Latta.

Survivors include four daughters, Luann Rinowski and husband Matt of Tulsa, Nell Wheat and husband Paul of Phoenix, AZ, Connie Merriman and husband Randy of Holdenville, and Sherry Smoot of Latta; her grandchildren, Jason Thomas, Robert Schawo, Laura Merriman, Katie Thomas, Casey Lyles, Jesse Henderson, and John Wheat; step-grandchildren, Chase Lawrence, Paula Christian, Ben Rinowski, and Louis Rinowski; brothers, Allen Casey and wife Ann, and Larry Casey and wife Tonya; sister-in-law, Mary Smoot; and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jo Smoot; her parents; son-in-law, Charles Kenneth (Kenny) Thomas; and grandsons, Randall (Tyler) Merriman and Kevin Schawo.
