Mr. Robert E. Angle, 82, of Mercersburg, PA died at 9:25 p.m. September 29, 2007 in Falling Spring Nursing Center, Chambersburg, PA.

Born July 8, 1925 in Welsh Run, PA he was a son of the late Clarence and Estella Mae Smith Angle.

A life long dairy farmer, he was born on the farm where he resided and farmed from 1948 to 1987. He entered Falling Spring on August 20, 2007.

Mr. Angle was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mercersburg where he was a member of the Hoch Bible Class.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II.

He enjoyed hunting and sports.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Crist Angle, whom he married March 2, 1946.

Two sons, Robert Eugene (husband of Deborah) Angle of Chambersburg, and Gary Lee (husband of Bonnie) Angle of Mercersburg. Five grandchildren, Andrew L. Angle and G. Mitchell Angle both of Boston, Mass; Gregory R. Angle of State College, PA, and Meghan E. Angle and Emily N. Angle both of Chambersburg. One great grandson, Gary Thomas Angle of State College. A sister, Sarah Jane Horst of Hagerstown, MD. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by six sisters and four brothers.
