A special grandmother, who died too young. My memories are always fond from when I knew her as a young boy. She was kind and a very hard working woman, who raised a very large and loving family, because of her love for them. She married Joseph Franklin Griffin and their children were Otis, Jimmy, Maxine, Coy, Curtis, Yvonne and Aubrey. I remember visiting for some of the summers and her once cooking a whole fried chicken just for me, my favorite and oh how she could cook. To get a whole chicken by yourself was unheard of in a family so large, but she did it just for me. How often I have wished that she would have been here to see me finish high school, go on to the military service, during Viet Nam and returning home. I know Jesus had a very special place for her in Heaven and one day I will see her again and give her all the kisses and hugs, that I and her grandchildren missed for so many years.
