Barbara Jane Nason, age 76, passed away on Monday, November 2 in Tulsa, OK.

Barbara was born on March 21, 1944 to the late RJ and Valorie Jane Scruggs in Wichita Falls, TX. There she grew up with her late siblings George, Dwain, Joe, Lana Lowe and surviving sister, Anna Faye (husband Bill West of Bedford, TX).

She lived in Wichita Falls until meeting her late husband, Dana H. Nason, SR. in 1973. After a short courtship, they married in 1974. They began a journey living in a variety of states as well as a period of time in England.

After 32 years of marriage she persuaded her husband to move her back to Texas settling in Decatur, TX for 27 years. She was a proud Texan but ready for a new adventure and relocated to Sapulpa, OK in June 2020. She lived with her daughter, Jane, favorite son-in-law, Dane , and two adoring grand daughters, Valorie and Melanie.

Barbara took great pride in helping raise her grandson Caden Smith, of Forney, TX, who had a huge place in her heart. She has a grandson, Ethan Harris of Gun Barrel City, and a granddaughter, Amanda Kemp and husband, Justin of Burkburnett, TX and great-grandchild, Wade.

She lived her life as a homemaker. Barbara’s superlative skill with crafting was a passion and creative outlet for her filling many of her days. She possessed great skill in macrame, mosaics, woodwork and painting. Regardless of where she resided at the time, Barbara spent many hours planting and maintaining her many flowerbeds.
