Bud had many endearing qualities and will be remembered for his gentle soul, kind heart, humble manner, and his loving devotion to his wife and family. He had a strong work ethic and spent many years in the construction business. Bud was a man of faith and served as an Elder at Tuscumbia Christian Church where he was a member.
In addition to his loving wife, Sharon, he is also survived by his son, Rick Abbott of Ulman; daughter, Kelly Newcomb (Hank) of Crocker; six grandchildren, Lacie Christensen (Travis), Cody Abbott (Merridy), Joshua Newcomb, Caleb Newcomb, Eligh Newcomb, and Alex Abbott; two great-granddaughters, Marley Grace and Ollee; brother, Jack Abbott of Kansas City; sister, Helen Clark of Richland; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Kraig Abbott.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., with services immediately following at 2 p.m., on Saturday, November 21, at Concord Christian Church near Crocker with Stephen McFadden officiating. Interment with military honors will be held in Concord Cemetery near Crocker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Tuscumbia Christian Church.
