Born January 4, 1936, she was the daughter of late Frank Nash and Vada Pearl (Uphold) Damon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Odd Palmer Blorstad and one son, Keith Blorstad.
Alice retired after working more than 30 years for the Board of Education of Montgomery County public schools as a cafeteria supervisor. She lobbied for better nutrition in the public schools. Alice loved caring for her own children, as well as others. She loved to bake cookies, cakes and pies.
She is survived by two sons, Karl A. Blorstad and wife, Susan, Jefferson, MD; Craig O. Blorstad and wife, Cindy, Bloomington, IN; three grandchildren, Ashley Blorstad Dillow, Katie Blorstad, and Haley Blorstad; three great-grandchildren, Caroline Dillow, Rachel Blorstad, and Hannah Rehberg.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 1100 Memorial Drive, Oakland, MD, 21550, on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel following visitation at 12 p.m. Interment will be at Garrett County Memorial Gardens, Oakland.
