Harry will be forever remembered by his wife of 65 years, Stella, his children, Patricia (Clay Thorburn), and Gregory (Karen), and his grandchildren; extended family and friends. He is also survived by his sister Stephanie (Dolly) Fredo of Oakville, ON. He was predeceased by siblings George, Mary Andrews, Peter, William, and Metro.
Harry was born and educated in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. After high school, he worked in Yorkton until he joined the Canadian Army, where he served in England towards the end of WWII. Returning to Yorkton, he was hired by John Deere Ltd. He remained with John Deere for thirty-four years, moving from Yorkton to Winnipeg, and then to Regina. After retirement, he remained in Regina until 2011, when he moved to Calgary to be closer to his family.
A Funeral Service will be at Eden Brook Funeral Home (17Ave SW and Lower Springbank Rd) on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00pm.
