Allyson Marie Baker, 20, born December 9, 1986, passed away September 2, 2007. She was just about to begin a new chapter in her life as a junior at the University of Tampa following completion of her Associate of Arts degree at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, Fla. Allyson was close to her family and her friends, and was a very caring daughter and sister. She was beautiful inside and out. Her smile always brought joy to everyone' s heart. She attended Most Holy Redeemer School, Tampa Catholic High School and Sickles High School. She was a competitive cheerleader and a member of the Tampa Catholic cheerleading squad, as well as on the team of the national champion Florida Wild Cat cheerleaders. This beautiful girl will be deeply missed by everyone. She leaves behind a grieving family, her mother, Joyce Fincham Baker; her father, Donald Jay Baker; her brother, Derek; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy E. Fincham; her paternal grandparents, C.J. and Marion Baker; her godfather, Richard Lentz; and her special uncle, Paul, and aunt, Bean, uncle, Swint, and aunt, Christy, uncle, Joel, and aunt, Enza. The family will receive friends 69 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2007, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Highway, with Father Leonard Piotrowsk. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the March of Dimes for the benefit of the St. Joseph' s Womens Hospital neonatal intensive care unit.
