Michael "Mike" Craig Hooker, 59, of rural Sublette, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, at his residence.

He was born May 11, 1948, in Bismarck, N.D., to Alyne Craig and Mary Elizabeth Pinkerton Hooker. He moved from Watauga, S.D., to Sublette in 1972.

Mr. Hooker was an independent owner and operator of Hooker Trucking, Sublette, for 14 years. He loved spending time with family and visiting friends. His hobbies were collecting non-fiction literature, studying Western culture and gardening, and he took much pride in his home. He attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Satanta.

Survivors include his twin brother, Thomas W. Hooker of Watouga, S.D.; two other brothers, Jack James Hooker of Sioux, S.D., and Wade Matthew Hooker of Sioux Falls, S.D.; four sisters, Kay Laurel Wahlin of Evansville, Minn., Barbara Jean Hooker of Lemmon, S.D., Cheryl Marie Hooker of Satanta, and Mary Jane Sorenson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. today at S. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Satanta, with the Rev. Jim Dieker presiding.

Funeral Mass services was at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Watauga, S.D., with burial in the Morristown Cemetery, Morristown, S.D.
