Elsie Fay Beal, 58, of New Straitsville, died at 2:06 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, in the emergency room of Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan. She was born November 9, 1926, in Athens County, a daughter of Perry and Isabelle McClelland Moody. Her husband Leo, died in 1977. Surviving are a son, Ronald L. Walters of New Straitsville; a stepmother, Virginia Moody of Alliance and three grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at Humphrey Funeral Home in Shawnee where services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday with the Reverend Calvin D. Edgell officiating.
