It is not known who her parents were although it is speculated that her father was Joseph H. McFadden 1790-1836 #134072090. John McFadden c.1801-p.1850 was the landlord of the Lamb Tavern in Columbia in 1830s-1840s and was likely a brother of Joseph McFadden and perhaps her uncle.
The family moved to Baltimore about 1851.
She is listed in the 1880 Census as running a cake stand. Her husband was consistently in the tavern and restaurant business.
