MRS. MARIE L. URNESS
Mrs. Marie L. Urness, 79, of 6412 E. 7th, died Sunday at a nursing home at 435 Gladstone Boulevard. She was born in Centralia, Kan., and had lived in this area 63 years. Mrs. Urness was a seamstress for the Gilliam Book and Apron Co. 15 years before she retired in 1964. She was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church. She leaves two sons, Andrew A. Urness, Kansas City, and James A. Urness, Broomfield, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Jo Netherton, and Mrs. Kathleen Ryan, Kansas City; a brother, Ralph E. Roberts, San Leandro, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Davis, San Leandro; Mrs. Margaret Campbell, Kearney in Clay County; and Mrs. Eileen Lancaster, Sacramento, Calif.; 25 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church; burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sheil Independence Chapel, where friends may call after 1 p.m.
