John Benjamin was born to Anderson Clark STONE (TN) and Mary Elizabeth (Nichols) Stone, in Arkansas. John's mother died in 1899; A.Clark was a widow in 1900 census. They had seven children: James, John B, Mary D, Henry D, Franklin T, and Floid STONE.

JOHN BENJAMIN met and married IDA M. WILLIAMS, bn TX, at Maxwell, Pontotoc Co. OK. They were had three daughters, Lula B, 6; Ola M., 4, and Minnnie Paralee, 2 yrs, bn OK, but in 1910, they were in Giles, Cleburne, AR. They moved back to Oklahoma and settled in Pontotoc County, he farmed. They were long-time members of the Free Will Baptist Church.

The Ada Weekly News of March 15, 1934, pg. 3, carried this:
"NOTICE:
John Benjamin STONE, age 56, died in a local hospital Thursday morning. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon from the school building at Egypt. Rev. DAME, of Center officiating. Burial in Egypt Cemetery. Keith Funeral Chapel in charge.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. IDA STONE; five daughters: Mrs. LULA ALLEN, Claremore; Mrs. OLA MONTGOMERY,Vinita; Mrs. PARALEE HANRAHAN, of Ada, Rte 5;
OPAL STONE and FLORENCE STONE, of Ada;
Five Sons:
OTHA STONE, a soldier at Ft. Sill; NEWT, RAY, RALPH and JOHN STONE of Ada; His father, CLARK STONE, of Miller, Ark; four brothers and two sisters."
